St. Bernards, UAMS College of Pharmacy To Host Free Screening

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy and St. Bernards Medical Center will co-sponsor a free health screening at the Mall at Turtle Creek on Friday July 16.

The event will begin at 9 in the morning and continue until 3 in the afternoon. Area residents will be able to take advantage of blood glucose testing, blood pressure checks, body mass index assessments and bone density screenings. A limited number of cholesterol screenings will be available, as will heartburn risk analysis and immunization information.

For best results, blood glucose and cholesterol screenings should be done following fasting for at least 8 hours.

The screening will be set up at center court at the mall.
